📍 Delhi

Day 1 | Delhi

Land in Delhi and meet the photographer-guide who travels with you throughout — a working professional who knows the light, the angles and the permissions. Over dinner, the two of you walk through the route frame by frame: what you want to make, and where each picture is waiting.

LodgingThe Imperial, New Delhi

Bring half the gear you think you need. India rewards one camera, two lenses and fast feet — everything else stays in the vehicle with your chauffeur.

Day 2 | Delhi

Shahjahanabad at dawn: steam off the chai, shafts of light through the spice market's hessian awnings, the Jama Masjid courtyard before the crowds. Work the lanes on foot and by rickshaw, then edit the morning's take over lunch with your guide. Late afternoon at Humayun's Tomb as the sandstone goes copper.

Meal OptionsOld Delhi breakfast trail · Mughlai dinner

The spice market's upper galleries are reached through an unmarked stair beside the tea stalls — the overhead view of Khari Baoli is the shot everyone misses.

📍 Agra

Day 3 | Agra

Drive to Agra for the picture that started it all — but not the postcard. Sunset from Mehtab Bagh across the river, reflections in the Yamuna shallows; tomorrow, dawn inside the gates before the day's first tour bus. Your permits cover a tripod where tripods rarely go.

📍 Jaipur

Day 4 | Jaipur

Morning at the Taj gates, then the road to Jaipur. Afternoon in the pink grid: Hawa Mahal's honeycomb from the café terrace opposite, the geometry of Jantar Mantar's instruments, and the evening flower market where the marigold sellers work under bare bulbs.

📍 Jodhpur

Day 6 | Jodhpur

The drive west ends on a rooftop inside the old city, Mehrangarh filling the sky. Blue hour is literal here: indigo lanes stepping down the hill, kites overhead, the fort's ramparts floodlit as the muezzin's call crosses the rooftops. Your terrace is the tripod position.

📍 Jaisalmer

Day 9 | Jaisalmer

A day for the desert: khuri dunes rippling to the horizon, camel trains on the ridge line at sunset, and then the reason we kept you two nights — astrophotography under some of India's darkest skies, the fort a faint gold smudge on the horizon and the Milky Way overhead.
